As you can see, this chimney mortar cap has deteriorated and is chipping. We removed the loose sections of mortar and resurfaced the cap as needed.

This house has metal framing. Part of our project entailed installing a new 2"x12" header to support the new wall. The entire project included removing windows, siding, and walls. We framed a new exterior wall approx. 5' farther out. We installed house wrap, new windows, a new door, and Hardiboard siding.
Framing new wall for windows.
Installed OSB decking to exterior of framing.
Framing complete.
This is the interior view of the new wall.
