While filling the voids with Bondo or putty may work in some situations, we recommended replacing the FOUR main damaged sheets, on this house for two reasons: First, any filler that you use will not match the texture or appearance of the surrounding siding, plus the amount of filler needed on this project may end up costing more in labor alone! Second, the real estate transaction may fall through and the homeowner would end up having to repair it again. If something is worth paying for, shouldn't you expect quality? Otherwise you are just throwing money into the wind. I know it's hard to justify spending a lot of money (or even a little extra) on a house you are about to sell, but do you want to be the cussword in the new owner's house as he walks around and compains about all the cheap stuff you did? You know he'll tell all your neighbors (who you may keep in contact with after the sale) too. That would be awkward....My parents taught me to treat others the way I want others to treat me.
